Day 1
Catfish is a VERY interesting movie so far. The story is intriguing as well as refreshing, and I honestly cannot wait to see what happens next. Right now, the uncertainty behind their existance is exceedingly eerie. I'm a little disappointed that my fellow viewers are finding it lighthearted and comedic when there is an apparent darkness behind the whole situation. I need to know who is behind the curtain and why they are doing this to Ynev.
Day 2
After seeing Angela...wow. She's pretty psychotic, I'd like to find out what's driving her. I'm still a little confused as to who's really there and who isn't, but overall it's pretty interesting. Wonderful film, the twist just seems a little anticlimactic considering how the teaser trailers portrayed it. I like it, though.
Day 3
Catfish was an interesting film, and startling commentary on the current social networking age. You leave with a bad taste in your mouth, knowing that most of us are part of the same network as these people. Ynev really shouldn't have been so naive, but I can't say it wasn't convincing on her part. In that regard, Angela is a complete and utter lunatic. Delusional, paranoid, and to be honest, I wasn't THAT impressed with her art. But, I digress. I'm confused as to Vince's role in the whole scheme, and what he thought after seeing this film. The title was genius, especially after his explanation. This is a modern day lens on America, and how users can get caught in the web more than they would like to.
Catfish
6/10 film
